Bring your own AI to your job search, with a safety net

How to let Claude, ChatGPT or Grok help with your Careers search and CVs through Geenius OS, what it can do, and the rules that keep it honest.

Careers runs no AI of its own in early access. That is a choice: your AI is already good at wording, you already pay for it, and a CV is too personal to hand to a model nobody chose. So the model is yours, and Careers gives it a door with rules.

Connect#

Careers reaches your AI through Geenius OS. Three steps:

  1. Add Careers to your Geenius OS workspace (Apps, Add to this workspace).
  2. In your AI, add the Geenius OS connector and sign in. In Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. In ChatGPT or Grok: add a remote MCP server.
  3. Ask it to use Careers. It now has a tool called geenius_careers.

The address of the connector is shown in the app under Settings, Connections.

What it can do#

Seven areas, each with documented actions: jobs (search, list, save, read the digest), profile (read your master profile), tailor (the designs, a draft with every source line, save a reworded version), cvs (list versions and get links), mail (create and edit drafts, ask for approval), data (remove test data) and guide (the door's own manual).

A good first ask#

Use Geenius OS and my Careers account. Read my profile, then find the five best new freelance postings for TypeScript and React. For the best one, get the tailoring draft, reword it using only my facts, save it, and put an application e-mail in my outbox for approval.

Your AI will search, read, draft and save. Then you open your outbox and read what it made.

The safety net#

Four rules apply, whatever your AI does.

  1. No send. There is no send or approve action. Your AI can only ask.
  2. A truth check. A saved CV is repaired line by line against your profile. A letter or an e-mail with a sentence that does not trace to your profile or the posting is refused, and the refusal names the sentence. The AI can use that feedback to try again.
  3. Your profile, read only. An agent reads the profile of the workspace owner and cannot replace it by import.
  4. Language rules. A German posting gets German documents, a Dutch one English documents with one controlled line. A letter is never machine-translated.

A habit that helps#

Ask your AI to research the posting first, open its link and reword using only facts from the profile. Tell it to keep every bullet's source id. When it does, the check passes quietly and your time goes into reading.

What it does not do#

It does not apply for you. It does not touch boards without public data. It does not make a missing requirement disappear. If your AI wants to do any of those, the door will say no, and that is the intended behaviour.

The skill#

A skill called careers teaches an AI these rules. Ask your AI to read it from Geenius OS before you start, and it will make fewer refused saves.
